08. 6.022 x 1023 1M

09. The law of Inertia 1M

10. Mass, Velocity 1M

III

11. (i) The mass of an object is a measure of inertia. 2M

(ii) If the mass of an object increases, the inertia of that object also increases.

(iii) So the object having 25kg mass has more inertia than the object having 8kg mass.

12. Classification: 2M

Homogeneous mixture

Soda water

Air

Filtered tea

Vinegar

Heterogeneous mixture

Wood

Soil

13. (i) Yes. Mohith is correct. 2M

(ii) H2 differs from 2H.

(iii) H2 represents one hydrogen molecule.

(iv) 2H represents two hydrogen atoms.

IV

14. Action and reaction forces acting on two different objects : Experiment

Procedure :

(i) Take a small amount of water in a test tube.

(ii) Fix a rubber cork to the test tube.

(iii) Tie the test tube with a thread at two sides.

(iv) Suspend the test tube horizontally to the retort stand with the help of the thread.

(v) Lit the spirit lamp and heat the bottom of the test tube.

(vi) Water is heated.

(vii) Force is exerted on the rubber cork due to energy of water vapour.

(viii) So the rubber cork move apart from the test tube.

(ix) at the same time, test tube moved in the opposite direction of rubber cork due to reaction.

(x) It means; action works on rubber cork and the reaction works on test tube.

(OR)

Steps for making Tea :

(i) Keep a bowl over the flame.

(ii) Take some water in it. Water is solvent .

(iii) Add tea powder. This is solute .

(iv) The colour and essence particles of tea powder dissolve.

(v) Now boil the mixture.

(vi) Add milk and sugar sufficiently.

(vii) Sugar is soluble in water.

(viii) Filter the prepared tea with sieve.

(ix) The insoluble tea powder remains as residue.

(x) The filtrate is the tea solutions in water. in the sieve. It can be thrown away. containing water, milk, sugar and extract from tea powder.
